Clay Co Ctr for Women's Ministries Meeting Room

The Center for Women's Ministries needs 8 chairs for its meeting room. Appropriate chairs have been found at Sam's Club for $43 each.

The Center for Women's Ministries is located at 314 Lankford Street in Clay City, but we serve all of Clay County and some of Vigo and Owen.

Although we do marriage counseling, we are best known for one-on-one counseling of women ages 13 and older. We also have support groups and Bible study. One of our projects at this time is a program called 'Protect Yourself - You are Worth It.' The goal is to make women, especially teens and young women, aware of domestic violence. We want them to be aware of the signs before being hurt, and to have a plan for a safe exit should they find themselves in a domestic violence situation.

All of of counseling is free to all people. We are not professionals but have had some very intensive training. We are headquartered in Bloomington, IN, and have centers in many counties in Indiana and several states.
