Beth

Beth Tevlin, Executive Director, has been with the Community Foundation since it opened its offices in 1992. Beth assures that the Community Foundation is meeting its donors' charitable goals in an effective and efficient manner. In addition to overseeing the operations of the Community Foundation, Beth works with area residents or their professional advisers to assist them in creating the fund that will achieve their charitable desires. An attorney, Beth is involved in the West Central Illiana Estate Planning Council, the Terre Haute Bar Association, and the Indiana State Bar Association. She has presented numerous programs for attorneys, accountants, brokers and financial planners on working with the Community Foundation.

 

Kelli

Kelli Miller, Program Director, joined the Community Foundation in 1995 as the administrative assistant and after a brief hiatus returned in 1997. She assumed her current position in 1998. Kelli administers the scholarship programs for the Community Foundation. She also oversees the Vigo County grant cycle and all designated and donor advised grants. A member of Leadership Wabash Valley class, Kelli is the Community Foundation contact for questions related to our scholarship program or our grant program.


Kate

Kate Kollinger, Financial Administrator, works to assure that the financial records of the Community Foundation are in order. She personally sees that all donations are deposited and credited to the correct fund. Kate handles all receipts and disbursements from the Community Foundation. Working closely with Sackrider and Company Accountants, Kate prepares the necessary reports for the quarterly financial statements. Kate is the contact for donors to learn their fund balance.

 

Kathy

Kathy Davis, Administrative Assistant, is graduate of Indiana Business College, Kathy was previously employed at the Vigo County Prosecutor's Office as a legal secretary where she did payroll, billing, budgeting and accounts, among many other duties. She has also held management positions.

Kathy greets callers and visitors to the Community Foundation, schedules and prepares materials for meetings, enters gift information into the database and prepares letters and donor acknowledgements.

 

Kathy

Rachael Nickel, Program Associate, joined the staff in October of 2008. She works directly under Kelli Miller, assisting with the administration of scholarships and grants through the Community Foundation. Rachael graduated from Indiana State with a degree in Elementary Education, with a concentration in English Education and Physical Education. Before joining the Foundation, Rachael worked as the Program Coordinator at Mental Health America, and then taught at the elementary level in the Vigo County School Corporation.

Donate in Their Memory and Know They Will Be Remembered Forever-

When you make a contribution to an endowment fund in the Community Foundation in memory of a loved one, you are assured that your loved one will be remembered. His or her name will be added to the Foundation's memorial list where it will remain forever.

Youth Grant Committee Endowment Goal -

In the fall of 2007, the Community Foundation's Youth Grant Committee (YGC) embarked on a fundraising effort in which the Youth Philanthropy Initiative of Indiana would provide matching funds of up to $4,000 for the purpose of creating a permanent youth endowment. On May 12 of this year, the YGC successfully reached its goal, resulting in the establishment of an $8,000 permanent endowment fund that will benefit youth philanthropy in Vigo County... For good.
