About Us: Career Opportunities

Intern Program

Program Overview: The Wabash Valley Community Foundation Inc. offers up to three different paid internship opportunities. These internships are designed to provide the intern meaningful projects and opportunities to help the intern develop work related skills and assist the Community Foundation on various projects directly related to its mission and operation. The hours are between 8 am and 5 pm, but may extend into the evening depending upon meetings or special events. The Community Foundation is flexible to accommodate the intern’s academic schedule. The maximum number of hours would be up to 20 hours per week during the spring and fall semester and up to 35 hours per week during the summer.

The Community Foundation has a variety of internships depending upon the needs of the Foundation at any given time.  The following internship positions may be available:

  1. Facilities/Administrative Support Intern

Volunteer Opportunities

The Community Foundation uses volunteers on its Board of Directors, on its various committees and task forces and in the office. Volunteer opportunities may exist for the following positions:

  • Board of Directors
  • Clay County Community Foundation Board
  • Sullivan County Community Foundation Board
  • Asset Development
  • Distribution or Grant
  • Finance
  • Scholarship Selection
  • Governance and Planning
  • Spring Outing
  • Marketing and Public Relations
  • Special Event
  • Office Assistant

Volunteer opportunities can be short term or long standing depending upon your desires and the Community Foundation’s needs.

Youth Grant Committee

The Youth Grant Committee is a group of Vigo County high school students who are interested in serving the community while improving their leadership skills. To apply, please complete the membership application.
